Can anyone identify the make and model of these drums - they look like a warmup kit or something - perfect for my needs.
Johnny Fay of the Tragically Hip is playing them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Just by the looks, they remind me of Ayotte or Taye, or probably some other boutique drum-maker. Nice big wooden hoops. Maybe it's just the perspective of the pic, but those hats look ENORMOUS...

    Looks like a 12" snare, 12" tom, and a 16" kick drum.

It could be a warm-up kit, something for the dressing room... some drummers use something backstage to warm up, and lots of bass/guitar players have little practice amps backstage. I think the Red Hot Chili Peppers actually assemble a practice room for the whole band to jam backstage, or have in the past.

I know that Pearl makes a Traveler kit that is almost perfect for such applications, and the price ain't bad:

...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
  • Yes, these are Ayotte
