Our long-standing, knee-jerk aversion to undie rap is in peril after hearing this live bedroom performance by a young man who calls himself P.O.S. (quit hatin’ … on yourself, dude). Outfitted in a crisp flannel shirt, Stefon Leron Alexander — his given name; really, what must his mom think of him calling himself piece of shhh? — rips out a startlingly great cover of Pearl Jam’s “Why Go,” off (the newly reissued) Ten. This is something like a cross between “Chocolate Rain” and … shit, we don’t know. But it is awesome.
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Whoa! One of my most favorite PJ songs being covered by a rapper. Too cool! 8-)

It's not a big deal, just a slight annoyance. Its like you and everyone you know sees a movie that just came out, you all talk about it for days and then a month or two later someone barges into the room and says "Hey everybody! Guess what movie I just saw! You wanna talk about it?" There's really no need for hostility on either side.
