Wireless Router

I just hooked up a wireless router and it shows me everyone in my neiborhood that has a wireless router. It shows there last name. Is this bad? Can they find out if I have one? Can they access my computer? Can I access theirs? I dont want to but am I at any security risk?

    if it says under their network name "security enabled" then they at least have WEP. You should at least enable WEP ....WPA is better however.
