Lets hope there's still some Jays fans around.

I had to work tonight, but from the highlights it looked like it was a good game. Based on the box score it seemed like our young and old players did good, but what was up with that incident in the 8th?

Not a huge Jays fan, but you guys are psyched to have Snider. That guy is going to be a beat, and he is only 21! I wouldn't worry about Roy, he will be fine. Was a little out of the norm getting hit hard like that after pitching well the whole game though.

    really?
two posts about the team with the 2nd best win percentage in the league in april?
    really?

this is going to be a fun season. we've already surpassed most expectations. although i'm not sure we're gonna grab the pennant, it's gonna be a fun ride.

...and that's something that toronto baseball fans haven't gotten in a long time.

    CITO!!!

This week should be interesting. Hopefully the Jays can put up enough run support, for the rookies making their major league debut.

Lind is looking pretty good at DH.

i'm really glad that aaron hill has recovered from his nasty concussion. he's definitely showing why he's going to be our top second baseman for a while.

lind and snider have been so much fun to watch this season. they're giving me hope for the future.

let's just hope we can keep up our great play against al east competitors. i think i'll try and go to a game this week.

Yeah, Hill's been pretty great this season. I've already casted my All-Star votes for him.

amen, there isn't much to the game that this team is struggling with really, except some SP but with Halladay and Richmond pitching well, it's average to above

don't forget about the vulture, jason frasor, picking up 4 wins as a middle reliever with 0 er.

After League blew the save I thought the game was over. I don't think they got another comeback in them though, so they better win this quickly.

here's hoping that aj burnett gets what he deserves for scorning jays fans.

but then again, i can't blame the dude for accepting a contract of that size.

this is gonna be one awesome pitcher's duel.

I can't wait for tomorrow. The Yankees are going to be a great test to see how good of a pitcher Richmond really is. Oh and I guess Halladay pitcher alright tonight ;)

TSN listed BJ Ryan on the ticker this morning (forget why) but it said "....P.B.J. Ryan....".

i hope the jays keep this up - not cuz i'm a homer but for cito ... that guy has always acted with class despite getting pissed on by a bunch of people (mike mussina especially) ... he's given every single of one of our players a quiet confidence and an even-keel composure regardless of the score ... can't forget brad armsberg work with the pitching staff ... these kids are coming up with era's in the 8's and shutting major league hitters down ...

next month will be telling as i'm sure the other teams have started scouting more on the jays

probably that bj is nearly done his rehab stint, and should return sometime this week, although his role may be reduced to set-up man, and downs will hold the closer position.

sucks for frasor though. nice to have a positive bullpen problem though.

I just thought it was funny that he was listed as 'P.B.J....'

the way he's pitching - he'd be better off making pb and j sandwiches

    another jays win!
unfortunately the team couldn't hold richmond's bid for another win. glad to see downs get another save though.
  • tvismyfriendtvismyfriend Posts: 2,118
Yeah it was a big win for us today. Even if we get swept in Boston we'll still be in first, but that isn't going to happen... hopefully.

with how much I hate Chicago White Sox it was really sweet to see a 4 game sweep

It was nice to see Richmond bounce back, his slider is extremely amazing sometimes

Good to see Rios contribute because it's few and far between so far in 2009. Even if he doesn't show the power he should be, the dude can fly and may be the best base stealer on the team.

    Go JAYS !!!!

don't know if you have rogers or not but if you do they just signed a deal with tsn to bring tsn2 to rogers. It will start airing today on channel 1

unfortunately i don't have digital cable (which sucks because i have a 55 inch tv), so i guess i'll just have to watch playoff hockey instead. and i'll still end up at a bar at some point...

too bad the doc won't be in fenway ... nice to see them win 3-2 games scoring runs late ... especially seeing the young guys come thru ... the scary part is the offence isn't realy in full gear yet - if we get rios and wells hitting more consistently - it will be real fun to watch ...

and snider. don't forget about snider. he should be good for some slugging down the road.

yeah ... i would say if he can hit around .275 for the year from the bottom of the lineup with about 15 homers and continue to play solid D (nice arm for a left fielder) - it'll be great ... he's still a rookie for the most part - needs another year or two of seasoning ...
