Saw them Saturday Night @ Lee's Palace in Toronto.
Blown Away!! They're an Amazing live band!! Unbelievable energy on stage. I can't believe how tight they were. Check them out if you haven't heard of them. "FATE" is not only the best album released in 2008, but one of the best albums I've ever heard.

They're touring right now with Golden Boots and The Cave Singers. It's an amazing night of music. Check your locals and go check them out if they're coming to your neck of the woods.

Tickets are like $12-$15 dollars. It's so worth the price of admission.
Bring back your empty beer bottles and enjoy.

they sounded good when i saw em last week at the paradise in boston, but they can get old pretty quick, esp. with their new album. love the way they sound, but the schtick gets old pretty quick. I also wish they played some of their best tunes-- "my old ways" and "alaska" were not there. Very Fate-heavy set.

Great Video!! They're even amazing unplugged. These guys are moving quickly up my list of favorite bands. "Fate" is such an amazing album.

I picked up a copy of "The Dearly Departed"/ "Is It Worth My Time" 7"vinyl at the show on Saturday; 2 new songs on it written after they recorded Fate...The band just keeps getting better and better.

I was amazed at how much their audience grew this time around. I'm hopeing that they are on the verge of breaking and getting the sucess and recognition that they deserve.

They are one of the best bands in the world right now.

Here's a Clip from the Toronto Show:

I don't mind the "Fate" heavy setlists because I think it's their strongest album overall.
However, I do agree that they should play "Alaska" more; It's one of their best songs.

The Toronto setlist was a little bit different from Boston, they didn't play as many songs from "Fate".

I was really happy to hear stuff off of "We All Belong" and "Easy Beat" as well as "Goner" from the "Takers and Leavers EP".

They also played 3 new songs "Older", "Fat Dog", and "Fuck it" which were all pretty strong.

  • I was at this show too and you're right....they were awesome.....

I was on the verge of not going, but 5 minutes into the show I was so stoked that I decided to go......

The only thing I would have wanted was to hear them do their "heart it races" cover...

I've seen them in Philly 3 times. An absolutely tremendous band. Very much looking forward to seeing Dr. Dog at Coachella on Saturday, 4/18.

Yeah...I finally picked up the "Heart It Races" on 7" vinyl. It's an excellent cover.
Apparently, they played it in Buffalo along with "Is It Worth My Time" from that "Dearly Departed" single.

Both are quickly becoming my favorite songs by Dr.Dog.

1 show is just not enough on this tour.
I'm seriously considering hopping in the car and roadtripping to one of their shows next week .
I don't feel like I've got my fill.
