Next year this will all be mine... bye bye dome!
Last year we drove through a snow storm to get to opening day... 70 degrees and no wind felt pretty good. That being said, baseball is meant to be played outside.

  • When is MLB gonna learn NOT to have opening day game in the north? Same problems every year??

Why isn't boston vs tampa being played in tampa? Why is atlanta on the road in the north east? why isn't chi sox vs. kc being played in kc?

not even 2pm on opening day and already 2 games postponed/rained out.

I think there are a lot of problems with the baseball schedule. I've never been a big fan of the division splits with the wild cards and extended playoffs. I miss the old east/west with the best in each league duking it out. I also think 162 is too much... shave it back to 150 so the weather is better come the playoffs and opening day. It didn't use to be so long.

Damn, the Indians got rocked today!

I'm hoping for a few more rainouts and cancellations this evening, so that the Tigers-Blue Jays game gets picked up by ESPN ;)

It's going to take an act of God to get the Cubs-Astros game rained out in Houston...where they have a dome

if their starting pitching "holds up", they could make a wild card run. their lineup & bullpen are solid. but beyond Oswalt, well...it's a little shaky.

i think they play 12 of their 1st 15 games against NL Central teams, so it'd be great if they got off to a good start. hell, anything is better than last yrs start.

as all astros fans know by now, you can never count them out. it should be fun to watch!!!

    Poor Twinkies.
Can't believe Redmond got smoked in the head by that bat and stayed in the game...
Carlos Gomez should have stole that two run homer.. game wasn't even a contest after that.
