This is terrible... powerful earthquakes don't happen in central Italy... where's all this coming from?
Hope all our board friends and their families are safe.

this guy predicted it weeks before it was going to happen. they even had trucks driving around with loud speakers telling everyone to evacuate-until the mayor put a stop to it and made him take down his internet warnings.

Is this some sort of commy conspiracy?

I meant by not having the link work, not that the info was bad/false.
I ended up just copying and pasting it, like the good old days.
Hmm....so I guess because it was in a quote it didn't work?? Odd..because I've seen them work before.
So its a board conspiracy then!
hope so too.
It is terrible, but they have had earthquakes before. It's such a shame, that part of italy, as beautiful as it is, is shockingly poor for a european country. The buildings are all centuries old in the town centres, and they aren't generally renovated to withstand the quakes.
They've had a few quakes over the years, i think several thousand died in the 80s in a huge one? and the Assisi chapel roof collapsed bout ten years ago killing some tourists during a small quake.
There are a few fault lines around the mediterranean, one of them runs right through the middle of Italy along the mountains.
