just wondered... if anyone went to that show? And I was discussing it with my friend... and if my memory serves me correctly, while on stage Eddie said about great crowd etc etc, and that the show in Vienna sucked?

Am I mad... or did this happen?

Yes, there was a show there. I'd say somewhere around 12000 people went to the show. Too grogged up to figure out what Ed's mumbling about most of the time, other than a short bit about Bush/Blair around that pretty political encore.

    yep you didn't dream it.
they had problems at the show in Austria 2 nights before (that was not in Vienna at all, but 10 miles away in the middle of a field near the Slovenian and Hungarian border).
Some equipment had got damaged during the storm in Venice and Jeff in particular had lots of technical problems. Eended up being a very short set (plus it was raining and cold).

Wembley on the other hand was great (though not as good as Düsseldorf 3 night later ;))

Wembley was great for us lot but I wish they had played a slightly more "normal" set. This was the first (and currently only) time my parents had seen PJ having got them hooked on Ten and Vs, so when all the rarities got played they didn't have a clue what they were.

Pegasus, thanks alot for the info, I can know tell my friend what he meants. thanks :)

Jim, I took my dad along, who loved ten and he was so lost lol, he kept sayin "which song is this" so he didnt hear the classics he wanted... but heard some new stuff he liked.

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Sigh indeed

Shame there was never a decent bootleg. Some songs i want to hear in good quality: Long Road, Immortality, Bu$hleaguer.

That was a great show. Floor reserved for 10c members which is why the setlist was more fans oriented. Last song was Immortality and it was simply awesome !!!
However the sound in Wembley Arena sucks ... my ears have been buzzing for 2 days after the show.
Too bad there is no official bootleg for this show.

Ooops ... you're right. I thought Indifference and wrote Immortality ... and it's not the first time I'm making this mistake. Both songs were great that night ;)

Bass and kick drum were indeed way too loud. I almost got a heart attack after Matt hit the kick drum for the first time

There is a pretty decent audio bootleg out there, though it suffers from auto recording levels (everytime there's a kick drum, level suddenly drops then shoots back up again). Still worth checking out if you can find it though.

this show was great, even better than dusseldorf peg ;) imho.

the boot is good.... and the Given to Fly from this show is my favourite. Having been to quite a few shows I think there is definitely something to be said for the shows from ones own country being for some reason a bit more memorable. Certainly Reading is one of my top boots and the Wembley shows sticks in my head.

Loved this show a real party mood.
    Salut baloo

this will make no sense, but...
i think Release is THE Pearl Jam opening song and i was lucky enough to see/hear it at MSG last year, but Long Road is my favourite opener and i thought he Wembley 2007 version was knee-tremblingly good, just a shame that there's no official version available...
