If PJ tours in '09, (or '10) Gaslight Anthem should open

I think they'd make a great opening band for Pearl Jam. They are very good, AND they've covered State of Love and Trust. I guess I can dream....

Any other up and coming bands you'd like to see be openers?

    No opener would be perfect IMO but I'll play along and say the band Dead Confederate.

    How about no opener and PJ on stage at 8pm every night for a 3 hour show. I think most places have an 11pm curfew.
    Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.

    I think there's no love lost around here for DMB - I'm a huge fan, but would not want them in the same show as PJ!

    well Kid, DMB is as big as Pearl Jam. So, there would not be any "opening for Pearl Jam" for them :D

    And no. We don't need no stinkin' openers. If there will be one though, then it should be RELENTLESSFUCKINGSEVEN!!! :D

    I'd go with the following who would fit in quite well with PJ's style;

    Sufjan Stevens

    A couple of 'unusual' suggestions;
    Clutch
    DeeExpus

    Also LOVE the suggestion of no support and extra long PJ sets!

    But if this happened anywhere other than Europe I would be sooo jealous - may have to bankrupt myself to see few shows!!! :P

    I really just said that because the DMB concert sold out and now I have no chance of seeing them.
