our secretary had a spray on tan before she was in a wedding. it was great, she was brown, not orange.
today I used some 2 year old self tanner (lotion) I found in my closet. I feel stinky. Why can't they invent some that smells better. I know you are not supposed to use it after opening it (6 months.) It was smelly when it was new.

My sister gets spray-on tans occassionally and they look great! Very natural. Also, she normally has a tendancy to burn really easily but thinks the spray-on tans seem to have a protective factor.

I've never tried anything like that because I get brown without even trying. :?

I've never done it, but I think it's because I've always feared this would happen to me:

I've had quite a few spray tans - they are really good, realistic looking, not orange - the stuff you can buy in the bottles is just too much effort for me and you can only do the bits you can reach....it may cost more to be sprayed by the 'professionals' but definately worth it. PS it still smells, but not as bad

I've had one spray tan . . . I had it done in September to hide tan lines from the summer for a wedding we were going to - it looked great, couldn't see the tan lines with the naked eye. My only complaint was that it looked fine in person, but in wedding photos you could totally see the tan lines it was supposed to be covering up

never did it..I usually use this good lotion from bath and body works, it's the most natural one I have ever used.

Yeah it's good stuff..it's a bronzer too so you can see what you are doing and it looks good on everyone's skin.

My sis had one before our bro's wedding and it was just horrible. Well... it looked bad on her. She was the only blondish female in the wedding party and she decided that dying her hair brown was the way to go.

So bad. Her coloring was freaky and it's all preserved in photographs and videos. LMAO!!!!!

I will never consider one for that very reason. I'm not supposed to get really tan, that's just the way it is. Plus, I have skin cancer in my family and I've had basal cell carcinoma removed from my face! I can forget being tan, EVER.

well I hope I don't get cancer b/c my father has had alot removed from his face and ears.
one side of my face has aged more than the other and i think it was from a really old fashioned tanning lamp that my mom had in the seventies. it turned me scarlet in the eighties and my skin peeled off.
i just want a little color...

is it the left side of your face? I've read that people age more on that side from driving a car and not wearing sunscreen.

My derm said that the biggest factors for skin cancer are family history and sun damage at an early age. How much sunscreen do you wear? Most people don't wear nearly enough--- 2T on your face alone! That's crazy! I make myself wear one and I hate it!

This upcoming summer will be my first without sunbathing. I might die.
