I just moved to Salt Lake City and was wondering if there was any fans in the area....

    There are a few of us in the greater Salt Lake area. Sadly most folks here are only concerned with bands like Nickleback and Buckcherry. I blame the radio stations personally - if it isn't in the top 40 they probably won't play it. On occasion a station will play something from 'Ten' or 'Betterman' or 'Daughter' but that's about as far as it goes.

    Also, I hope you are a fan of traveling to the shows because they haven't played Utah for about a decade and I doubt they will anytime soon.

    I heard they will be playing Usana Amphitheater in September. ;)

    I know there are about a half dozen Utah Fans. Ute Lew comes to mind and another guy... ok I forgot his name but apparently he has a beard and a girlfiend :oops: :oops: :oops: and a few more that I cant remember.

    I am close by in Wyoming. Used to sign under "jaamfaan" until I decided to get rid of that hideous handle.

    I met a couple of guys from Salt Lake in Vegas at the '06 show. One of them, it was their first show. They seemed like cool kids (college students).

    I live in SW Wyoming about 4 miles to UT. I can only pray fo a visit to SLC for PJ. Of course they're always welcome to play the Masonic Temple or Elks Loodge here in Evanston and stay at my place...

    I travel to SLC quite a bit for work and as others have said...the radio stations there suck bigtime!

    My girlfriend lives in the SLC area and I am out there for weeks at a time. She hasn't seen PJ before so if they do play Usana that would be awesome! I'll be back out there in 2 weeks for a month.

    NOPE. I think 98 was the last year and then they put condos in where they used to hold shows. Too bad because it was a great venue and PJ in 98 was beautiful

    And Pj was great there... so there are no outdoor venues anymore? That's sad...

    There's a newer venue named Usana; I haven't been there but its not in a great place and just like all the other shitty amphitheaters out there that aren't natural like Gorge, Red Rocks, etc.

    Usana is in an inconvienient spot but its not a shitty venue by anymeans. The eagle are playing Rio TInto Stadium (also in a bad spot traffic wise) this summer. PJ would never fill it but it would be an awesome venue.

    E Center is perfect for them. Last time they played there was in 98 and the show was originally scheduled for the Delta center, but ticket sales forced them to relocate the show to the Canyons. They don't have a huge fanbase in Utah, E Center would be a perfect venue for them. Sep 28th for the E Center? Who heard this? I'm there if its true!

    It was on the board earlier in the week from some guy who knows the booker for the E Center.

    YOu can add 1 more fan to the SLC fanbase baby! Sat front row last time they were here...Ed spit on me during Hail, Hail! Never forget the day - it was on Father's Day back in 98' and he sang the best version of release I've ever heard!

    Remember in 95' they sold out the Delta Center/ESA 2 nights in a row...The E center has better sound so even if it is smaller - I'd rather them play there. But I'd almost guarentee they'd sell out the ESA...

    USANA would almost sell out too! They are bigger here than people want to give credit for...There are a ton of old school fans who have maybe lost touch - but they are still fans...Just not as big of fans as you an I...

    They could sell out Rio Tinto...get dam close anyways

    I'm not holding my breath that they will play here...If it happens I'll be thrilled - but I'm not counting on it...Would be nice - because I have a wife and kids now...So traveling isn't an option anymore...It is but it isn't a priority. Unless they come to Vegas or Boise - I'll miss out on them.

    But they'd get a really good welcoming if they came...
    Makes much more sense to live in the present tense!
