Best Buy and Rockband B.S.

I know this has been discussed but this is Bullshit

So I purchase my sde from best buy for the rockband code, go online get the redemption code to download the songs, fire up rockband, start the download and as it is downloading it stops.....for about 30 minutes it does nothing. So I figure the xbox is froze or something. I went to re-enter the code and it says is has already been used. I contact BB and get a call back a few days later saying they will try to get me another but cant promise. I gave the woman my original code to prove I bought it. here is what I get:

This is Julie with BestBuy.Com Research, I am sorry to hear that you Xbox froze and
did not download properly. Unfortunately we are not able to send out another code
to you as only one can be received. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused you.
funny because in my box set, I actually got 2 drop in the park codes

    try emailing Harmonix as they are the ones who handle the download.

    You can re-download anything from the XBOX Marketplace once you've redeemed the code.

    Sending EA a scan of the certificate, redemption code, etc...hopefully it can be resolved

    that sucks. doesn't the xbox marketplace keep track of what you've purchased already so you can redownload?

    I had to re-download all my dlc for the wii the other day because i switched sd cards and my pc doesn't have a sd card reader.. (i have a usb reader but it is currently MIA..)

    odd that the xbox wouldn't have this option..

    I just got off the phone with my bro at Harmonix and he says your beef is with Microsoft, not BB or RB...

    Patrick I'd be glad to hook you up with my rock band code, however I'm still waiting for Best Buy to ship my super deluxe edition. I pre-ordered on-line and expected to receive it last week, but now the site says it's backordered and they won't receive another shipment until sometime between April 13th to April 27th.

    Riotact1112, that is awesome of you. I did the same thing, once I saw it backordered, I went to BB and bought it , then canceled my online order.

    GOOD NEWS However, I emailed <!-- e --><a href="mailto:redemption@rockband.com">redemption@rockband.com</a><!-- e --> and they sent me a new code within a few hours....SOLAT here I come! (right after the Ranger game) Now if they would ease up on their warranty policy with the instruments........

    You could have just fired up your 360, gone to the window one to the right of the current disc in the tray (the window that shows your avatar), then go to Manage Account then Download History. It would be in there and then you could just re-download without the code. I've done this tons of times with things that were "one use only".

    I was just going to suggest this. With 360 or the PS3, the second you start to download something it stored in your download history. And from this you can re-download anything you have in the past again.
    Essentially this is the feature that allows you to put the same downloaded programs on other 360s or PS3s if you happen to own more than one...or if you harddrive crashes, you can get your stuff back without having to pay for them again.
