woah this thread got out of control...

the poster looks good though. Did you discuss what the poster should look like before you had them frame it? If so and there was no mention of the white showing they should fix it for free.

And from your myspace "LIfe Soundtrack" thing, why the hell would "Nothingman" be played during the party scenes. I don't think I would want to see that movie, seems too depressing

That frame job doesn't suck! Seriously, you should get what you like, considering the hard earned $$$$ you have to drop for this stuff....but I like it

so this thread went crazy...but id like to point out that having those tickets in there like that is a bad idea. they will eventually damage the poster.

if YOU don't like it or are unhappy...you definitely should say so. personally, i LIKE the white border showing and that would be my preference. i agree the outer mat could definitely be bigger...tis a common peeve of mine, most people don't get their outer mats large enough. i would personally have gone for 2.5-3". however, i do think overall your frame/mat job looks good. also, if you have none of your specifications in writing, could be difficult. either way, it's good to speak up. a reputable business wants to know if their customers are satisfied or disssatisfied, and they may work something out with you. even if they don't...tis a good lesson learned for the future.

Didn't the framer show you what it looked like before you left? My framer always unwraps it and makes sure i'm happy with it before i leave...i assume to prevent a situation like your's from happening.

I like the way your poster is framed but my opinion doesn't matter. If YOU don't like it, take it back! Especially if they didn't do as you asked and didn't show you the finished product before you left the shop.

as for all the legitimate responses, i told him i wanted the first matte to the black, they said ok, reaffirmed it, asked me again, i said yes, to the black, i said what i want was to the black, a half an inch of the light blue showing out and an inch of the dark blue (on retrospect i should have chosen the 3 inches instead), but i think what they did was cut a half an inch of the light blue, saw that it didn't cover the white, and just put it so that it looks alright. he did show it to me before i went home with it, but im near sighted so i didn't realize there was white until i got home and actually looked at it. i guess it's my fault that i didnt check hard enough.. how much do you think it'd be to make the dark blue matte like 3 inches instead of 1? i kind of like the white now so thats cool, i just think the dark blue should be bigger. but i guess if it's too expensive i'll just screw it (though i DID get a check for $400 that was left over from my student loan )
