Thought I Bought a Lost Dogs Vinyl but.. :(

it was something else. what was advertised was:
Lost
*shows picture of Lost dogs*
Tracklisting: *same as the cd*
but it said it was a 7" 45
so i said... what the hell it might be a misprint that it was 7"
i thought i'd at LEAST get a single that had a song featured on lost dogs like the i am mine single or something. but no. i get a Carl Butler and Pearl single with the song "lost" on it. what? this is just wrong, yes? what do i do? my receipt says i bought "lost" which i assumed was just a misprint or something.... no where did it say it was carl butler, and it had the lost dogs tracklisting and picture. and of course theres no listing of it on the website... is there anything i can do? :( oh well, i guess it's a good reason why i used an american express gift card..

    Have you contacted the vendor? I would assume that would be the first rational step before posting your business in a public forum.

    I once bought an old school Toronto Blue Jays jersey on ebay, advertised as XL. Once I recieved it, it was clearly a KIDS XL. I just contacted the vender and he apologized for the lack of clarity and took the jersey back and refunded me (I think I ate the shipping to send it back).

    So if the guy made a misttake, he'll probably treat you right. If it was deliberate misrepresentation...best of luck.

    that's cool that kinda stuff doesn't bother me too much :D it is funny, i got it for like $8 and im like OMG I GOT LOST DOGS FOR $8!!!! and then it turns out to be carl and pearl whomever. ah well. i used my dad's money for it anyway :D

    perfect case of "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is..."

    i wrote tower records a few days ago and asked for the track listing on one of the vinyl records they had instock for this very reason. i didnt want to buy something i already had. they wrote me back and said they couldnt even tell me what songs were on it. lame.

    Hahahaha, that is really funny. I remember talking with you about what you ordered...and was wondering along with you about what you bought.

    yes. it was that same stupid record! after you asked about the tracklisting i went back and noticed that it was the same as lost dogs so i was like "alright.. so hopefully what he said was right, that it's just a pearl jam single..." but i never would have guessed these carl and pearl people! :p it's a good thing it was only $8.. and my dad's money... he sucks anyway

    Yea yea. Sorry to the OP. I've had a chest cold for the past few days and I was on a concoction of medications when I wrote that. It came out a little thorny. :) Good luck with getting this squared away.
