what luck. At least I got to enjoy it a few times. Goes back in the box never to be heard from again

    Wow that does suck. When I finally threw mine in I was expecting that, cuz I've been having some shit luck the past couple of weeks. It went fine though...

    that, and of course tape hiss, generation loss... etc... i can't wait to play mine, just cause once i get my tape deck hooked up again, it's game on for all those PJ bootlegs and mix tapes i made over the years.

    I played it twice without a problem. But now it's back in the box.
    It's a shame...because I'm really digging that early version of Footsteps.

    It's a really cool piece of history.
    We're basically holding the "blueprints" to worlds greatest rock'n'roll band.

    Unfortunately thats why tapes faded out of existence so fast. The audio quality was subpar and they got eaten up all the time in tape decks :(

    These have actually been floating around in MP3 format for years.... along with the complete Stone Gossard Demos, Ten Rough Cuts, Ten Demos (Alive, Wash, I've Got A Feeling), etc.

    There are 24-bit FLAC, 16-bit FLAC and 320kbps MP3 versions coming very soon. Don't bother opening and playing your copy unless you want this to happen to you.

    I used scotch tape to put it back together. Still works since it was after the songs and there is nothing else on it. It's in the box now, where it should be!!!
