Rumors are slowly circuling through the social networking sites, orginating from Ear Candy's Travis Hay (also a writer for Seattle P-I). No word if there is any truth, but PJ are supposedly planning a small fall tour according to friend Abbey who works at 107.7 The End and Labor day weekend seems to fit. She also had inside info on Sonic Youth and The Jesus Lizard playing headlining the Capital Hill Block Party in Seattle as well before it was announced today. I guess we'll see, Bumbershoot's line-up should be announced this week.

OMG that would be perfect! I had to miss bumbershoot 08 because of my knee surgery and was so sad about it because The Offspring was one of the headliners.
Pearl Jam playing would completely make up for it.

It's in Seattle. To be specific, right down at the shadow of the Needle.

I guess this would be cool but I'd prefer a true Pearl Jam Seattle show. Since I moved here in late 2001, Pearl Jam hasn't played one Seattle show with fan club benefits. Yes, I want to have my cake and eat it too. ;)

I think this would be a true PJ Seattle show. They would probably play for 3 hrs right under the Space Needle. I would fly up for this one. Bumbershoot is rad.
Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.

They're not among the initial artists:

Sheryl Crow, Modest Mouse, Katy Perry Set For Bumbershoot
Modest Mouse are playing Bumbershoot 2009.

    April 01, 2009 09:00 PM ET

    David J. Prince, N.Y.
Sheryl Crow, Modest Mouse, Katy Perry, Michael Franti & Spearhead, De La Soul, and Raphael Saadiq are among the first acts confirmed for the 2009 Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival. The event will be held Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-7, at Seattle's City Center.

Also set to perform during the 39th annual event are Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, the Long Winters, Sly & Robbie & the Taxi Gang, World Party, MSTRKRFT, Roy Ayers, Common Market, UH HUH HER, Dave Alvin and The Guilty Women, Eric Hutchinson, No Age and Matt & Kim. More artists will be announced in the coming months.

Among the many non-musical offerings at Bumbershoot will be a special appearance by "The Outsiders" and "Rumblefish" author S.E. Hinton, a poetry reading curated by Spencer Moody of the Murder City Devils and the The Seattle-Moscow Poster Show. An entire kids program, Youngershoot, will be announced this summer.

Bumbershoot three-day passes are on sale now via Bumbershoot.org. Single-day tickets begin going on sale July 21.

Last year's Bumbershoot featured headliners Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, Lucinda Williams and Neko Case. Bumbershoot is produced by the not-for-profit One Reel organization in conjunction with AEG Live, which bolsters talent buying and sponsorship resources.

if they do play Bumbershoot I hope they do something for the fan club because you need wristbands to get into the main stage and it can be a bitch sometimes...I can't even imagine how difficult it would be if PJ was playing
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."
