...well a bit north of Seattle, a small town Mountlake Terrace.

I quit my job and moved up from Olympia to go to school full time for Audio Engineering. so far no couch..my room mate and I have a small green chair and a computer chair as furniture so far...crazy, crazy times haha.

anyways I'm bored out of my f-ing mind when not at class...any tips on what do up here? my room mate is like the only person I know here and he's pretty busy most of the time. I'm pretty familiar with the area being only and hour away most my life

Can't help you with things to do in Seattle, or the greater Seattle area, but I'll say my two cents about Audio Engineering.

I went back to school for that in the fall of '03, and finished up in December of '04. And currently do not work in that field.

Just remember that being a sound guy is very much like being an musician yourself. You have to be very strong willed to make it work. The school I went to wasn't much help in the job market, now I wasn't waiting for them to find/give me a job, but all the leads they turned me onto often times had little or nothing to do with sound engineering.

So I realized if I was going to do this I would need to approach it as a freelance sort of gig, which is fine, but dang the gear isn't cheap. So I find myself going back to school in May for something completely different, but still in the back of my mind would like to have a kick ass home studio at some point. Just need some money for that!!

Anyway, good luck with school and finding things to do, if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

there are some great parks out that way...Meadowdale Beach park is really great to get lost for an afternoon. You walk quite a ways, but eventually get to the Puget Sound - a real beach and everything! Nice hike back up the hill too.

Mountlake Terrace doesn't have a lot - we only go that way to go to the MLT rec center - they have a great pool! But Lynnwood has some good restaurants and bars. No live music that I know of anymore...if you're looking for live music - go to Seattle :)

    cheers; dawn

I'm thinking of reuniting with my biological father. Last I heard he's up in Seattle.
But I know he has connections in St. Paul, MN and Long Beach, CA.

I feel I need a new change of scenery right now.
