My new fav... just saw a show a couple of weeks ago... very, very good. Bought the album, and now I'm hooked. If the only thing you've hear is "Sometime around midnight" you need to listen to "Does this mean you're moving on?" Great song.

I like the last song on the album. I've never seen them live, but I'll likely get the chance eventually.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

I like them so far - I'll have to see if they're anywhere around here anytime soon. Glad to hear their show is a good one :)

I still have to catch them live to make a complete decision.

I saw them at a small venue, definitely less than 500 people there (I want to say 200, but I'm not a good estimator). They played for little more than an hour... I guess they don't have enough material for a longer show yet.

But the lead singer had lots of energy, they have a fiddle player...and the bassist broke out a cello for the intro of one of the songs.

    Definitely cool!

I 'tripped' over this band on accident...
I went to the local record shoppe in Long Beach to get the Johnny Ramones Tribute DVD and there was a live in-store gig setting up... I asked who was playing... "The Airborne Whatzit Who"? Anyway, I needed a wristband to get in for the show... and luckily, one popped up.
It was an acoustic show and they were really great. I bought their CD to give them a listen to... talked to them about Glendale and Eagle Rock... and got my freebie poster signed. Great CD... leastwise, I like it.
After that, I caught a couple of their full set live shows... the last one was this past Thursday. Great little local band. Kinda quirky... got a quirky little gal that plays violin... she's kinda cute... very, very sweet.
A nice bunch of musicians that have the enthusiasm of a new band... their shows are great to go to because they are truely excited by being onstage.

Fingerprints, yeah? Best record store ever!

I really don't care for the Airborne Toxic Event. I listened to their cd with an open mind and wanted to like it, but it was sooooooooo derivative. EVERY single song, about 20 seconds in I'd think "wait, isn't this ____ by the ____?" One of the worst albums I heard all of '08, actually.

I listed them in the bands that annoy me thread for the same reason
