My oldest brother had a silent heart attack at 42 :( Thank goodness he works at a hospital so when he complained of mild chest pain, one of the nurses put him on a monitor and saw that he was in the middle of a heart attack. Big shocker for all of us siblings (he's the oldest of 6) and an eye opener for us all.
Get better - and take care!

I'm glad you are still with us. Is this situation described what they are talking about on the Bayer Aspirin commercials? I looked up silent HA and they mentioned aspirin. Did you take one? I carry them with me b/c we have a long history of HA's in my family, but it could be due to their weight or smoking. My father in law had a burning sensation in his throat like he ate onions and upper left back pain. He went to the hospital in a hick town and immediately, they made him take an ambulance ride to Georgetown (near DC) to be explored via catheterization. While they were exploring, they determined he had a heart attack (scar tissue) except he did not know when it happened. He had triple bypass surgery. He smoked though and he was kind of skinny. Now that he quit smoking, he's really overweight. You can't win!
With blood pressure like that you are lucky you did not have a stroke.

p.s.
did you put down the salt shaker? there's a new cook book out by a guy that nearly died of a HA. I rec'd it for christmas and I really need to start cooking like that. my mom is really big and she is on BP meds and when we took her out to dinner the other night, she salted her salad and then ate salty italian dressing. she said her blood sugar was high, she shot up her insulin in front of us and enjoyed eating many carbs. I'm wondering if she even cares any more.
