Open letter to Pearl Jam

Dear Jeff, Stone, Mike, Ed and Matt,
The Mellon Arena here in Pittsburgh is scheduled to be demolished in 2010.
I wanted to ask if instead you would take care of it on your next tour.
Thanks

This building must be graced before it meets it's demise.

If Pearl Jam can't knock it down then nothin can.
2010 watch it go to fire
I can not wait to see my favorite group live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note: I've seen many concerts in Pittsburgh. If I hear another Steelers chant at a concert, I might punch someone. Same goes for the Pens.
I'd go back to see PJ there in a minute.

You already have 4 shows in a row in Philly this year. Pittsburgh is only a couple hours away.
I had to travel 14 hours (7 each way) from Phoenix to San Diego to see them at a venue they were only playing one show at. They haven't come to Arizona at all since 2002.
...and there are many-many states, and many-many countries not in the US that have serious fans that could not make it to any concert in 09.
I say, Pearl Jam, in 2010, please play Phoenix, Finland, and whatever other obscure spots of the globe rarely are granted by your awesome power...but do not play Pennsylvania again. D.C.'s cool to play though.
What this guy said.

Thanks for point out that Mellon Arena sucks Mr. Obvious! It's the oldest arena in hockey. There is a reason they are tearing it down, and it's not because it is awesome. It's completely on par with the Spectrum.
I sure hope you are not going to the Philly shows then! Sports chants at concerts in Pittsburgh are non-existent compared to what you will hear in Philly. At least the fans in Pittsburgh have something to cheer about. I haven't seen a concert in Philly since they actually won a championship (after a 100 season drought). I'm sure it will be worse this time!
Artie Lange said it best, "Why do Philly fans feel the need to spell out the name of their favorite team everywhere they go? It's like they are in a constant spelling bee. E-A-G-L-E-S, Can you use that in a sentence? I can.... the Eagles have never won a superbowl."
Good. I'm glad they're tearing it down. I shouldn't have to suffer through another concert in that arena. It's a God forsaken dump. And yes, I am going to one of the Philly shows. I could do without any sports chants. I like sports just as much as the next guy, but I'd rather chant Stone's name. The best Pearl Jam crowd I've ever been apart of was in Grand Rapids. No sports chants there! Chicago had a fine crowd when I was there, too.
I love Pittsburgh. I've been in cities around the world and Pittsburgh is my favorite. Seattle is way up there too.
Pearl Jam loves to play in the burgh according to Ed in 98.
Bob Dylan tours constantly and he can't hit every place and he's just one guy. I bet Pearl Jam would want to play every city in the world.
Peace.
p.s. HERE WE GO STEELERS...HERE WE GO!!!!
Wyoming and Idaho.
Oh, and it'd be cool if they'd set up stage in the middle of the Mongolian countryside. I'll buy 10c tix to that.
