"Soufflé-like"??
I'm interested to see if I agree with Jeff's analogy. The only PJ records/songs to date that I remotely consider Soufflé-like are No Code (Sometimes, Who You Are, In My Tree, etc.) and maybe a song or two off Vs. (e.g. Glorified, WMA). Oh, and maybe Sleight of Hand off Binaural.
When I think of Soufflé-like in terms of music I think of complex transitions, perhaps much like the bridge of Marker in the Sand on Avocado. I don't think of straight-forward, ass-kicking punk rock; nor do I particularly think of up-tempo stuff, much like Ed describes the new record.
It's interesting to hear the differing opinions, or at least differing perceptions when members of the band describe the music & give us hints about the sound.

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
I think it's this...... I am anxious to hear the boys get a little more interesting musically, again. The last 2 albums don't cut it, for me. Get away from the overly punkish tunes and work on somethin a little more classic sounding.
