Re-issues of the Compilations and Live releases?

This might have been discussed in some thread but will they only re-release all studio albums or are we going to have re-issues of Live on to legs, Live At Benaroya Hall, Lost Dogs and Rearviewmirror? I believe some would be interested in the vinyl versions of these and I only have Lost Dogs on vinyl and the rest of these on cd.

I wouldn't mind a re-issue of the Vinyl edition of Live At Benaroya Hall and why not throw in a DVD of the show once were at it ;)

I do not buy the argument of that the Live At Benaroya Hall should not be re-issued on vinyl because it was a limited edition set and therefore it will not be re-issued. Then it wouldn't be fair for those who paid $600 (or what's the record) for it on eBay. I just don't buy that argument. Wouldn't it be better that all of us who want it on vinyl can have it for a reasonable price? Same goes for the Into the Wild vinyl, that I was fortunate enough to have.

Discuss.

i get the feeling that it will just be the studio albums. if that holds up, the only way those bsides from LD or any other compilation will make it is if they are listed as bsides for that album on a bonus disc.

It wouldn't matter. It still means there were only 2,000 first issues pressed even if they pressed 10 million more. The original would still maintain it's value. Look to the Beatles White album as an example. There are millions of vinyl copies out there today. The original pressings were numbered on the cover. Those still go for hundreds of dollars now. For serious collectors, original pressings are always worth more.

I wish they would release the Benaroyal Vinyl for the original price of 35 bucks.
If the person who paid 600 bucks on E-Bay feels cheated... he has only himself to blame. The reason WHY they go for 600 buck is because people spend that much for them.
Anyone who looks at it as a monetary investment (i.e. what the dollar value of the record is) is missing the point... the music on vinyl... not the vinyl itself.
I think it would be nice if everyone who wanted one.. could have one. Those are my thoughts on the matter.

Not true...if it was re-released, the value of the originals would go down tremendously. I don't care about having an original one...I just care about having the album on vinyl (first edition or not).

Right, YOU don't care. But many people do which drives up the price. It's all about supply and demand. There are way more than 2,000 people who want this set and that's why it's at where it's at price wise. Benaroya is on CD and you can buy the same show in almost any store in America. Yet the vinyl still sells for $500+ on ebay. Take a look sometime at some first editions on ebay from established bands. They have vinyl re-issues everywhere but the originals still get top dollar. Even if it gets re-pressed years from now, the limited edition #'d sets will still bring big money.

I paid a little over $400 for my Beny... Not as a financial investment.. Vinyl is for playing not for currency.. You all probably think I was crazy to spend that but everytime I open a bottle of Merlot and drop the needle and spin the RED circle I feel it was worth EVERY hard earned dollar.. No regrets..
