Anyone else able to tell the difference between this new remastered version and the old disk? I can see a huge difference with the redux one though....

There is no difference, I think the non redux version is just the original.

Generally, remastered cd's are just a ploy to get people to rebuy shit. The differences aren't even noticeable. Lars said as much about 15 years ago in the Metallica fan club magazine. The remix is badass though. Honestly I don't know why Eddie insisted on including the remastered one in addition to the remixed. How many people are actually going to spin that CD/Vinyl? Not including them would have brought the price down.

I think it was unessecary when the original disc is still around and has sold 12million copies.

If they wanted to make the boxset "complete" and include the original mix, they should also have included a full unplugged and "all" the b-sides from that era.

But I for one will still listen to the original disc/remaster. Vary it a little :)
