2000 Mile Blues!!!

Has no one made a thread about this song? One more reason to bow endlessly at the alter of Mike McCready!

I can't believe it was kept hidden for so long.

    Listening to it last night, I just couldn't help but chuckle to myself about how nasty Mike sounds on this song. :lol:

    I'm Totally digging this tune.
    It's got a nice 12 Bar Blues stomp to it.
    As expected, Mike tears the song a new one.

    It really gives an insight to how even at this early stage in their career, the band was able to feed off each other and create interesting and compelling improvisation.

    "2000 Mile Blues" is definately an early seed to songs like "Ledbetter", "Red Mosquito" and "1/2 Full"

    It's quite obvious that the "Jam" in their name had nothing to do with the stuff you spread on toast.

    I wish they'd explore this musical territory a little more cause Mike can play some sick blues licks. Loved hearing this tune!
