    Just as accurate as Wikipedia.

What I mean is it's only as good as the info people are contributing, but you have to realize only about 10-15% of all 10c members going to these shows are actaully registered with touring fans.
    90 shows and counting...some of my favs: Randall's Island night 2, Milwaukee '95 night 2, Hawaii '06, St Johns '05, PJ20!

Once you get a few shows worth of data in there it's pretty close. You should be looking at similar popularity shows and seating layout. I used it on past tours and by looking at similar shows I was able to pretty accurately guess where my seats would be for a few shows.

For reference..I'm 229xxx and I'm usually 20-25th row on the floor or first 10-15 rows sidestage for arena shows. Or around rows 20-30 of the first sections for amphitheater shows.

This is for medium popularity shows like Toronto, Buffalo & Cleveland...not MSG or Boston.

That's tough to say for certain...if you really analyze the seats people got and the seating chart you might be able to get relatively close if you can figure out how many pairs of tickets there are ahead of you. Although with rows 1-2, 9-10 being completely random it would be a very rough estimate at best.

Really, if you're really trying to analyze the numbers I think it's probably more important to see about how many people signed up for the show you're going to relative to the other shows to determine the shows popularity and what percentage of people are ahead of you.

What show(s) are you going to and what's your number?

you realize, of course, for reference, you need to add two rows to your standard in rows 1-10, and add four rows to your standard behind row 12. standard seniority plus 2 or plus 4 depending on where your standard is...

touringfans will give people an idea about an upcoming show after a show takes place. the later in the tour you go to a show, the better you'll be able to figure out what you might get.

has anyone confirmed that they are selling far less 10c tickets on this tour than they have in the past?

again, once a few shows are populated, it'll be intersting.

I realize that it is a rough guess... and also the deal with rows 1,2 and 9, 10... My question I guess was truely as you previously mentioned... what percentage of people are using touring fans... im heading to MSG 1, hartford, and both Mansfield... 151231

yeah, it's a low percentage. but last couple of tours had enough people to where you could put yourself in a range at least. you'd find people maybe 10 or 20 thousand on either side of your member number, and you could mostly narrow it down. but as i said, it takes a couple of shows for the predictions to take shape...

this all also depends not only on the number of people who sign up in the first place, but also on the number who report back and how quickly after the show

This is back from the days of block seating in 2003 where if your number was 151xxx you might be in a block with member #'s 120xxx->210xxx and it was first come first served within the block.

But for everyone looking to 10C seating data to analyze here's some past data from pjtour.com I dug up on the Internet Archive.

Unfortunately the Internet Archive doesn't seem to have stored the seating result pages from the old Touring Fans.
