The "Super Deluxe Vinyl Editions" thread
Now when the time comes for Pearl Jam to sit down and put together the future re-issues, I think there should be "Super deluxe Vinyl editions".
These could contain vinyl versions of the albums plus a concert on vinyl (like with Drop In the Park) containing 2 or as many LPs as it's needed to fit a show. And of course a DVD of some great show from the era. We all have the CD's so that's why I think it's pointless to cash on CD versions included in the boxes.
Bonus tracks could be put on a separate vinyl too, unlike on the end of a CD as they with the Ten Super deluxe edition.
With a Super deluxe Vinyl edition, they would really let some fans have what they truly need, and it would be a great follow up to releasing Vitalogy only on vinyl before the CD edition came out.
(This is a thing I've been thinking about before as many bands tend to put out their albums as special or limited editions as a CD/DVD combo but if the vinyl has something extra it's a CD or a MP3 download coupon of the album. The only exception I know about is R.E.M.'s Live (from 1997) vinyl edition that came as a 3LPs+DVD edition when the standard CD was a 2CD+DVD. With Accelerate they f*cked it up again when they only put the DVD with the special CD/DVD edition and the vinyl edition was a 2LP+CD set).
Another argument for leaving out the CDs is of course linked to the loudness-wars and the CD editions of the Ten re-issues being too compressed, as discussed in another thread.
Are you up for the idea of "Super deluxe Vinyl editions" on the future re-issues?

Vs & Yield should be a treat, my bog standard pressings wipe the floor with the CD editions but 180's of these babies would be incredible. I look forward to all the reissues to get decent pressings of all the back cat but those 2 will be the biggest treat.
Do we think the RVM Best of might get another reissue on the black circle, the prices this fetches now are silly?
