Dear Ten Club: PLEASE DON'T EVER USE UPS AGAIN!

Got my Super Deluxe Edition today. I'm on the East Coast (PA) and let's just say I was majorly disappointed when I saw the box. The one corner had a big ding and was all smashed in, and sure enough, my entire box set is messed up as a result. The upper right hand corner of EVERYTHING is bent! Fortunately none of the records themselves are ruined, but the outer slipcase covers are, as is all the pictures/posters/treats inside. It's really irritating. I know, you all are gonna say "email the 10Club, they'll take care of it" but honestly I don't want to pay the shipping charges to send this heavy box way back to the West Coast, and then wait and wait and wait to get it back again, only to have it probably messed up even more. Did anyone else have a problem like this? So please 10Club, please, don't use UPS again. Or ship future editions in a bigger box with some padding or something.

    that royally sucks, bro.... i feel for you. i was a little irked too, i got mine friday and it was raining here in Minnesota... my wife said "Don't worry, i'm sure UPS put it in a plastic bag so it didn't sit on the wet ground"... sure enough, i got home and it was on the ground, the outer box completely soaked. i was freaking... but i got it inside and the wonderful 10 club had sealed the whole package, so the actual box set was not wet at all.

    if i was you, i'd email the 10 club... since the package was damaged, maybe UPS will foot the bill to get you a new one.... royally sux though... i'm sorry that happened to you. for an item you paid so much for, and waited so long for, it sucks to get it in less than pristine condition.

    yea my vinyls are a little bent, oh well....i bought 2...one to open and play, and one to keep sealed for the collection...kinda works out don't it :)

    ups is almost as non graceful as the airport people, and that is BAD lol

    Or maybe the asshole driver was just a creed fan... hate to hear this! I mean, I'd take this one up with UPS and take pictures of the damage. If ten c ends up sending you a brand spanking new one free of charge.. i'll take the bent one :D:mrgreen:

    UPS should pay for the damage. Did you save the box?

    10c WILL take care of it...and will not expect you to pay shipping either. they will more than likely send you a return label.


    in any case, i *heart* UPS. i think they normally do an excellent delivery - tho of course EVERY handler makes errors/damages at times - and they rarely require signatures for delivery......usually VERY timely with their deliveries....excellent tracking system.....and also usually follow through with damages, etc. i have nothing but good things to say about em, and my husband uses their services frequently since he buys and sells a lot of basses each year. i also think the USPS does a pretty damn fine job - most of the time - and for a good price, use them often....but for something like the SDE, i agree that UPS was the way to go. just my 2 cents.

    I think the most important BS thing about the UPS is that it came out of nowhere. We all got emails saying that our set was shipped USPS and then we get that UPS tracking email. If I would've known my order was being shipped UPS I would have never bought it from the fan club, because now I know for sure it's going to take forever to get to my damn house.

    Why do people always bitch and assume the worst without contact 10C first? It's certainly not their fault, but if you contact them, I bet they will take care of you.
