Met him at the Brian Jonestown Massacre show at Neumo's in Seattle on Saturday.
He was taking a break while the band was still on, catching a quick smoke, so I went out and chatted with him, shook his hand. Told him how the music made me feel......about 30 seconds, and he said, Thanks, and that he had to get back onstage. He was very courteous and kind actually, opposite of his rep, maybe caught him on a good night. Glad I could meet him though, I really hold his music high.
The Massacre was in TOP FORM too, Joel Gion is back and so is Matt Hollywood. Great show of course. 3 hours. If you've never seen them, you must.
The opening band, the Flavor Crystals made me an instant fan too. Trippy atmospheric space rock....great stuff. I grabbed their setlist. Great night.
Neumo's is a wicked venue too. First time I'd been there. Really cool. Lots of signed gig posters framed on the walls all around the place....great vibe.
