Hartford Travelers...Tips/Bars

Well many of you have asked 'what is there to do?'. Unless you want to see the Mark Twain House, well, there's not much.

We drink a lot. :D

So the bars are where it's at. Look for Pratt Street (Sweet Jane's - preparty, and also Vaughan's Irish Pub) and Allyn Street. Allyn Street has the Pour House (very good spot). And coincidentally, on Friday night there will be a 'block party' on Allyn Street. Also, check out Black Eyed Sally's on Asylum Ave...EXCELLENT Blues/BBQ joint which would have been my 2nd choice to host the preparty. You all have GPS/mapquest.

Warning...parking/traffic will be a bitch on Friday...and with 90 degree weather predicted, there's a good chance it may t-storm for a bit...fair warning...get here early if you can!!!

For those hanging in the lots...do me proud!!!

    Pour House...lol...that always cracks me up.
    There is plenty to do in the area. If you have a car, go the airport..there is an awesome museum there for airplanes and wars and stuff. :p
    Rafting down the river.
    The casinos.
    um...yeah, that's about it.

    Forgot about the museum!

    here you go Bekah...I'd try the Hartford 21 or Church St. garages and then shuttle...or you can just park in one of the garages and then after the preparty just drive up Market st. to the Dodge Music Center.

    Funny thing is...if it's a TC ticket, you wont have it til after you park...there's a catch 22...lol...

    Big parking tip...

    Park in one of the pay lots at the businesses nearby... sooo much easier to get out...

    Do not go into the free lots... possible 2+ hours to get out...

    Dirt is in the motherf'n house. Leaving Boston in a few with my good buddy, UncleJosh. Boston will be representin in Hartford tonight!!! Do not forget the charity going on (see the Hartford Courant article).
