Hey this is kind of a rookie question I guess, but has there been a Ticket Exchange forum in the Message Pit? Buying/Selling/Trading at face value? I've seen this on other bands' websites and wasn't aware of any here, other than PM's and such. Would certainly come in handy during the tours and would help some folks out I'm sure.

    you know what sucks is when a low club number member sells their tickets to someone who just joined, and they end up with 2nd row seats and having only been part of the club for a month or so. looks like if i cant beat them i will have to join them...although i prefer not to at all. that is about the only way i feel like i will ever see a show in the first few rows and i have a decent number. anyone else agree?
    No time to be void and save up on life, you gotta spend it all.

    this is something the offical bruce springsteen fan website has.

    the BTX = Backstreets Ticket eXchange.

    its very nice to deal with fans, face value deals only. ( that goes without saying )

    I just think it helps the diehard fans who participate in the MP, or at least have the wherewithall to look in the band's website. I'm sure it would help those in Europe this year.

    i'm bumping this because of the apparent need for something like this on Pearl Jam's message pit.

    Except all bruce tickets are sold via TM - and no tickets to a fan club.

    SHOW COUNT: (159) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=103, US=118, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=2, Australia=2
    Mexico=1, Colombia=1

    Upcoming:   Aucklandx2, Gold Coast, Melbournex2

    true, but this is an 'after the fact' exchange...for those who got 'shut out'. i have been observing BTX for last night's Bruce show in Hartford and there were some good tix being passed around/sold from fan to fan at face value. i would view something like this as beneficial here.

    Wilco has a similar space on the Via Chicago forums.

    As was pointed out earlier, this exchange thing could become complicated when considering the amount of fan club tickets purchased by users of this site. Ten Club would (rightfully so) never allow that type of free-trading of the priviliged member-tickets.

    I see your point. What about this though (and I guess I'm playing devil's advocate here)...

    Is there a difference between someone who sells their concert tix on ebay/elsewhere vs. a ten club member who goes to will call, gets tix, and then sells them in the parking lot? I mean both are not ideal situations, but both happen. I don't know. I just feel the tix exchange bit would help those who get shut out...or at least a bit more uniform of a forum to communicate rather than having 28 threads regarding Ed's Santa Barbara gig (sarcasm).

  • Unfortunately because of no such forum this one becomes the de facto desperate search for a ticket forum especially for special shows like say the Vic.
