In the new Rolling Stone there is an ad for the new Ten reissue it lists that it is available in a limited edition Collection Box Set, which I am assuming is the super deluxe edition. Does anyone know Just how "limited" the box set is? They are not numbered in any way are they?

My guess is that they will make them for a year or so until the hype dies down. After that it will still be available but harder to find. I don't think they are #'d in any way. More than likely it's a marketing ploy to get people to buy it. How often do DVD's come out and they say Limited or Collector Editions? 10 years later they are in the bargain bin.

case in point, i just picked up the "collector's edition" of spaceballs the other day for 3 bucks.

one of my better purchases, i must say.
i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

I work at Best Buy and my store received only 2 of the super deluxe edition. The only special thing about best buy having them is you get bonus tracks to download on rock band. we only received 12 of the special edition and like 7 regular 2 disc.

My gut instinct tells me that they just made the one run of these thinks. Similar to all the LP's they've released since Yield. They don't intentionally make it limited edition (well sort of).. its just that they do one big print of them.. and they then run out later on down the road.

So i'm guessing they won't keep pressing these things, because they're expensive to make and demand would wind down. So my guess is they're around til there sold out.

btw. I really hope there's a way to pay for the xtra songs for rb2 for those of us that didn't get it from best buy.
