I think the tour will be in 2010.

I think the album will be released September-ish.. and tour starting Dec or Jan. I might be wrong... but in the latest interview with Alan Cross.. Ed said "Record first, than touring plans" "Taken us a while to get around to writing this one.. first things first." than he said "Maybe by next year, working most the year touring, meaning traveling and playing.. we'd like to get everywhere."

That was from an answer about European tour. So maybe the US tour starts up late 09.. or the whole thing starts in 2010.

    Yeah, I definitly think that there will be no tour until the album is done and I hope that they do a world tour not just a short little tour like last year...this way all their fans can get a chance to see them. Of course it is mandatory that they play at least 2 shows in Boston.

    a reliable source posted this info on another message board. it seems the band has booked stadiums in Boston and North Carolina for the '09 tour,...

    I agree, the interview he mentions that they'll definitely play shows on 2009 was on January of this year... so Ima go by what Ed said :)

    The interview where Ed confirms they'll be playing shows on 09 was not on November of 2008 was on January 0f 2009.

    Stadium in North Carolina? They arent that big here anymore, I could definatley see them playing the uptown arena here in Charlotte, but no stadium? Can you PM me some info? Also isn't Dave playing Fenway this year?

    I don't think they'll be playing Fenway at all this summer. DMB is playing in May and I just read in the paper here in Boston there is a strong possibility that Phish will be playing the park as well. They usually only have 1 concert event per year at Fenway, 2 is pushing it. No way the would squeeze PJ in the same year. hopefully next year though.

    I thought I read that Ed said yes there will be some type of tour this year but nothing in 2010 because one of them is having a kid?? Did I read that wrong?

    I dunno if anyone said it yet but theres a thread already where ed said they will be touring this year because the cant next year due to a band member having a child. He also said they have to get the record done this year because of the tour.

    I honestly think the album will be out in the summer and they will tour in the summer.

    I think he is talking about the album getting done this year, and there is no tour for 2010 because of the new baby... he said anything about touring on 2009.

    That is what I understood...

    Though, I hope they'll do Europe 2009 :D
