I just answered the doorbell sitting on the doorstep was my limited PJ vs Ames book, i thought SWEET finally, took it out of the bag and saw the box was a little dinged up and thought oh no. Sure enough when I opened it on the frount of the case at the bottom right in the middle was a pretty big ding, the size of a large spoon but sideways if that makes sence, not too worried its only the case, but the cover had it as well and it has dented some of the pages as well goes though to about page 100 they get smaller the further into the book. I know this is not 10 Clubs fault, they are awsome. My question is am i being too picky and petty expecting this to be shipped half way round the world and arrive in mint condition. I thought about emailing 10C but thought i would ask for you thoughts before i did.

Great book though, love it, except for the damage, and the small Winnipeg poster i got:)

Well when i paid for shipping of a Ltd Edition book.. i expected it to be something special in order to keep the book in mint condition....

Mine has a couple of minor imperfections too, and I got the pricey orange one. I am still a little miffed about that.

i would expect nothing less then mint condition. if you email tc, i have no doubt they will ask you to send it back for a new one in exchange. they are pretty good about stuff like that in my experiences. just sucks having to wait that much longer.

I agree, but they are numbered and I guarantee there is nothing they can do about it.

What ended up happening with yours?

I finally got mine (at last!). I haven't had a good look, but it doesn't look as bad as yours sounds. I just thought for $45 shipping on a $200 book, they could throw in a bit of bubble wrap and pack it a bit better. Because it was just in a big envelope thing, the shipping box was pretty damaged. That just meant that the cover is dinged in the corners and some of the edges are a bit ripped. I haven't opened it to check the book yet, but I'm hoping it will be OK.

This is a pic I found here, and that cover looks perfect. Probably it was a US delivery but still...

So, did you have any joy with yours?

My Into the Wild vinyl was damaged. I emailed the 10C and asked if I could have it replaced if I sent it back, they said they would refund my money but not replace it. I'm disappointed. Not that I ever planned on selling it or anything, I just like my records to be mint. I think the shipping fees we pay should cover more durable packaging.

had you bought you itw lp from aural you would have been sent a new jacket. im assuming you had one of the damaged jackets, it was a huge problem apparently. aural sent me a new jacket right away. still trying to figure out what to do with the damaged one. the front of it, with the pic of eddie is still mint, just the rest had damage.

I ordered the LMTD Ed book when it first came out and when it arived it wasn't in mint condition either. The first 50 pages or so all had a uniform crease like they had been folded over. I emailed the 10C twice several months ago and got no response at all. It was pretty dissapointing for such an expensive book. It was really my first bad customer service experience with them in over 10 years though, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

My book (ltd.)was pretty banged up, too. Wrote to them (10C) and they offered me to exchange it for a new copy. Great customer service! Thanks 10C!
