But I can't tell hardly any difference between the original Ten and the remastered. Is there anyone else that can hardly tell a difference? I have great speakers and yes, while there may be "some" little difference, not much at all.

they took the reverb out. i can't recall who produced the first album but i always got the sense it was some guy who didn't really know what he was going to do with pearl jam and their sound..so he just drenched everything in reverb. i always hated that about the original.

Yeah that's the only change I can hear - no more echoes. I think it sounds pretty good!

it was tim (or tom) something...the name has been flung around in recent interviews and articles...and yeah less reverb, more echo, and mike altered some solos...and in jeremy the background vocals "spoken" occur more often and are more noticeable...i don't have it but that's what i gathered from the ten game unlockables

a lot of people don't like the compression but i can live with it. you can hear much much much more of what's going on. it sounds raw and much more firey (like the band was at the time).

I don't think you are deaf, but there is a really noticeable difference on most of the songs.

That was the big selling point for me. I woulda almost payed $140 for it by itself. :D

I will probably listen to everything else while I dig through the SDE, then I plan to load the biggest bong I can handle and slap that chunk o live wax on.

he produced bowie, so he can't be that bad. it's subtle differences that you will notice. nothing too bad. for me, garden was the most noticeable

    :)

I notice significant differences in some songs, namely: Porch, Garden, Release and Oceans.

The best way to hear studio audio (even live audio) is through stereo headphones. Even if your spinning the vinyl records, or the cds through your pc or ghetto blaster; to hear the quality, the mix, the sound; don't play them on speakers, 2.1 desktop speakers etc.. just rest on your sofa or on the floor and plug in those headphones and experience the difference in sound on yourself! :)

Agreed, listen on headphones and you will hear the difference.

see for some reason , the remixed version of once sounded like reverb (could also be due to the fact that i heard it digitally) was added but that's not saying much, pearl jam has taken a small dent out of my hearing  (and i can't wait for more!)

Play it while wearing headphones! There is a bunch of differance. Did you notice Eddie talking on Even Flow? "Can you spare some change?" - "Thank you, God bless you". There is about another minute added to Mike's solo on Alive. Porch has different fills. State Of Love And Trust is compleatly different! And I think it just sounds better. Its like a girl that you usta date and you see her years later and she has droped some weight, she has been working out, gotten her hair done different, she is dressed really hot. And you fall in love with her all over again!

I think Once and Release for me are significantly different. Release is just so fucking beautiful and it just sounds so much more clean and clear now. I've been listening to Ten a lot lately and when I spun the "new" version I was blown away by the beauty that's there. Thanks PJ!
If I knew where it was, I would take you there....there's much more than this.
