10c super deluxe edition customs charge well pissed off!

hi just got home from work card through door saying i missed a parcel ie 10c package they want £32.25 cash only i for one wont be paying it,after 2 weeks it will get sent back to 10c now do i get a refund because i will be asking for one,what a bloody piss take!i think we all paid enough shipping for it!

    We already paid $50 shipping, this extra charge is the customs tax and is pushing the overall shipping cost up to about £80... I hadn't even thoughty about it to be honest, now I'm considering turning it away as well. It is a piss take.

    The customs charge hadn't crossed my mind at all, I have to be honest. Putting it in to context, £80 a couple of years ago was around $150. That is a hell of a lot to pay on top of the cost of the package itself.

    Nope, depends on the cost declared. Also if posted through the 'normal' way not all parcels are checked so you may get away with it. I was expecting some customs charge, but nowhere near as much as I was charged and some poor people got charged up to 96 Euros. Looking on the bright side, at least I didn't have to pay that much!

    You are, some other guy in Portugal ended up paying $317 total, after he paid UPS their charges :S

    customs charges were expected, the £30 that UK people got is what I calculated (and why I didn't order from 10c, along with postage cost..£60 extra for the off chance of a signature? no thanks).

    but the fees the Portuguese guy posted are weird and I'd contest them with UPS if I was him (http://www.ups.com/content/pt/en/shippi ... hr=customs it should only be either € 12.45 or €16 (it's either Non Credit Account Handling Fee, Disbursement or Duty and Tax Forwarding Charge from the value that is charged in the UK)..+ the actual tax of course ).
    It might be they charge differently for professionals and individuals (DHL has, or at least used to, have different fees) and they got it mixed up.

    I'm in the uk and i had to pay the bad UPS man £30.13 at the door on top of the $50 i'd already paid to have it shipped here (not sure what that is in pounds). it is a bit of a scam. what was the $50 for then? it should say when you buy that there will be extra costs for shipping or whatever. some people have never bought this way before so they wont know about the costs etc. No problems with the superdeluxe though,(except it wasn't signed :( ) it's cool.
