    Of course it does.

My sister once got in a lift, as it was going up she was making general chit chat with people and said 'catching the lift sure beats walking'

She then turned around and saw a lady in a wheel chair with no legs.

It wasn't even anything that bad.. just stupid, obvious, and a conversation killer.
I asked this guy how much longer he was going to be at home in Stevens Point. To which he replied - "I don't live in Point." I laughed it off, realized where he did live (ahem not ever the same state) and said it's obviously just because his name is Steve, so it's his point lolz..
To which he replied "No, it's because Cody (his best friend how has an OMG HUGE crush on me but has a girlfriend yadda yadda...) lives in Point and you're obviously in love with him."
    And then he hung up.
(I deserved it... it was maybe kinda partially true)

So much for that date next week.. :?

He hung up on you? ah well, dont feel too bad about it, it was accidental. and if you fancy his mate more, its probably best anyway. many a time ive tried to be nice to girls (or not be overly mean, depending, lol), but if they like you and you like someone else, you couldve said anything harmless and he'd have gotten annoyed.

when you think about it, it wasnt what you said that made it bad, it was his reaction. (a tad dramatic).

    Mine:
i described a film as being so bad it "made me want to kill myself", in conversation with my mates gf, who indeed had attempted suicide (and i had already been told, kinda temporarily forgot).....the room went SOOOO silent. i felt like such a prick!
