I just got off the phone with UPS and there is a brokerage fee on the package. It's only $16 for me which is really fucked but I'd rather pay this then $60.

Just a heads up.

I can't wait to get this today :D

that is actually really good news...UPS Ground is just simply ridiculous - sounds like the 10c helped things out considerably by going Expedited.

UPS always charges a fee when I get shipments to Toronto. Once I was charged $50 extra for item I purchased for $50. I always avoid UPS now.

just to clarify, the $16.56 is NOT the brokerage fee assessed by UPS, but rather the 13% customs duty/tax imposed by Canada Customs on the value of US$100 declared by 10C as the value of the package. Santos shipping out our orders via UPS Expedited service saved us the hefty UPS brokerage fee,...

I was actually really surprised to see that the 10c had changed the shipping method to Canada to avoid us paying excessive brokerage fees. Not because they don't care, just because it's something that could very easily get overlooked.

    Thank you 10c.

Agreed. this is good news. All the $16 amounts to is GST + PST that you would have paid had you bought the item in Ontario.
