I know there was a thread about explaining twitter, but no one really mentioned if they're on it or not. Would like to follow some fellow fans.

    Is Twitter really any different than any of the other social networking sites out there (myspace, facebook, etc)?

    I saw a story about it on the Today show this morning, they showed the site. It's basically people texting eachother back and forth.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    I have the LG Dare with the touch screen.....I can turn the phone to have the whole keyboard come up but its so hard to type the right letters without fat fingering it :(

    I text the old way still :P

    yeah the LG Dare is cool..i have an old LG..it doesn't even have a camera :P yeah when i text..it's short and sweet. I know people who text novellas..lol

    Oh yeah definitely...my thumb gets tired and I have to switch hands :oops:

    I don't type a ton but some days I get a lot of people sending me text(s)

    I'm a big forward-er when I get a funny pic or text :ugeek:

    It's basically an entire site dedicated to Facebook's status feature. You get a lot more out of Facebook and Myspace, but Twitter appeals to the people who can't stand that not everyone in the world can see what they're doing and thinking at all times with just Facebook or Myspace.

    I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion. I don't think of it that way at all. I'm more into reading others' comments than posting too many myself. Follow the right people and you get a variety of interesting thoughts and info. Saul Williams writes free style poetry in 140 character bits, for example, or he'll ask everyone who their favorite lyricists are. Rob Sheridan posts pics and websites that he comes across. Its kind of like thought soup. Its popular in the NIN community (of which I consider myself a member), but I suppose it doesn't appeal to everyone.

    My daughter 'made me' open a Twitter thingy. Never did anything with it.
