Yes, that is the name of Mudhoney's second album. But do you know how they came up with that name for the album? Who can tell me (even though I think I might know)?

The album is named after a mnemonic used by music students to recall the notes (EGBDF) on the lines of the treble clef. - taken from wikipedia.

    i learned it as

    every good boy deserves fruit

    or

    even ghost busters deserve fruit/fudge.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Yeah. That's the PC version of the old-fashioned phrase "Every good boy does fine."

Music teachers couldn't exclude girls (!!) so the fudge phrase took over. :?

In my opinion, they're both stupid sentences. :ugeek:

My daughter first learned it with
    Elephants
    Get
    Big
    Dirty
    Feet

But then again, she was very young so maybe elephants are more attractive....

Yeah. I guess not. For some reason saying that good boys "do fine" is somehow worse.

Maybe a play on the Moody Blues album Every Good Boy Deserves Favor?

Only the treble clef gets the album titles. I don't think the bass clef (GBDFA) ever ended up as an album title.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
