Any chance 'Ten' goes to #1?

Do any other good albums, or albums that will sell will come out next week? I wonder if Pearl Jam might be able to get the #1 selling album for an album of music originally released 18 years ago. That would be interesting.

    Im doing my best to help that cause lol. Buying the SDE from the 10C and whichever cheapest version gets me the songs for Rock Band @ Best buy.

    I would predict no chance in hell. Even in the destroyed market of album sales, I don't think Pearl Jam will sell enough copies of a REISSUE to crack the top 10. Everyone here is a Die Hard, your average record buyer is not going to propel Ten to #1. Avocado didn't even hit #1 and they promoted the crap out of that one. This is mostly just web promotion, AND it's an album 12 million people already have.

    question is do the sales of the reissue get added to the original record?

    If not, this will probably "sell" 100k copies in the US the 1st week. This would include all the presale. I would guess it would debut around #15 on the Billboard album charts.

    They're Best Buy exclusive as far as I know. Brother, SoLaT live and Alive live. I am going to download the rest of the album off of Xbox Live for 1600 points or whatever.

    60,000 plus copies I think would put it 4th on the main album chart, but I guess they don't show reissues on the main list. Still very impressive sales.

    I think I should be getting the Lobster as I made this post (before the fine folks at the Ten Club changed my name for me). Whos crazy now! I don't really get why it doesnt count for albums that are re-released, as albums can fall of the Top 200 and then come back on weeks later. My local paper today has something every week of the top movies, dvds, albums, etc. and they listed "Ten, Pearl Jam" as the number 5 selling album last week.

    I think the problem is, some people haven't looked at sales charts in a long time. It is not the late 90's/early 00's anymore, and there aren't any Nsyncs or Britney Spears's (or PJ's Vs.) any more who can sell 1-3 million copies in a week. In some weeks there may only be one album that cracks 100,000. Times have changed, and this is how the charts work these days.
