I am not familiar with eateries in the bay area, but a couple of weeks ago, I was in Calistoga where people from all over the world travel for wine, and hotsprings. I met a family from Louisiana who said they were going to dine at the Cliff House in S.F, that particular evening. They said they visit my state every year and make this a point on their itinerary.

The Cliff House is touristy, but it's right on Ocean Beach so the view is nice. It's been there since Playland was there too so it's old. :geek:

If you want good food, there are probably better places to go.

    Hi AM

I went for a journey yesterday and you know how when you drive your mind starts to wander??? I got to thinking about this suggestion post. The best way for anyone in a strange city to find a good place to eat is to open your eyes and look around to see where locals are eating. Usually, the food will be authentic and prices reasonable. A friend who has travelled the world abound suggested this idea to me.

SF is home to a large Indian community and Tai food is delicious. Peace

    I agree,

I would imagine the Cliffhouse is expensive.
