So I purchased a new car last night (new to me). And the main reason for me getting the one that I did was because when I took it for a test drive Pearl Jam was on the radio! Good Idea?

Nope. Not even remotely a good idea.

i would take it as a sign... good choice on your part.

the main reason i bought my last car (a Scion XB) was because my 4 x 12 Marshall speaker cab fit PERFECTLY in the back.

nice! i affectionately refer to mine as the "blue box"... it fits me, all my gear, plus one passenger on those out of town gigs... plus an ounce of the good stuff, of course!

I'm not superstitious at all but psicologically speaking I would be more incline to buy it because of the emotional attachment, maybe no a smart way to spend money but at the end it was a good deal for you!

When we test drove our current vehicle (Toyota 4Runner), Betterman was playing on the radio. It was a nice test drive - and a nice truck...alas it is in the shop now getting a new head gasket and timing belt...d'oh! :(

hmm... I don't listen to the stereo when I take a test drive. I like to hear the car and if makes any odd noises.

On another note, I had an 04 XB and I got rid of it. I know its a little car but it just didn't have enough power for me. At the time I drove a lot and was on hwys quite a bit and really just didn't like the ride. However, it was great on gas and all my gear fit into it. I also slept in it a few nights. I have a dodge magnum now, nice big ole station wagon.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?
