The best album ever isn't Yield, nor is it any Pearl Jam album.

Yield and No Code are the only two studio albums I listen to on a regular basis (w/ Yield being my favorite of the two). However, I would give the nod to Ten.

Yield ranks tied for second with Ten for me; with both behind No Code.

While not my personal favorite, Yield is incredible. IMO, it is the most cohesive listen. My ranking of the albums would probably look like this:

    Vitalogy
    Yield
    No Code
    Pearl Jam
    Vs.
    Ten
    Binaural
    Riot Act

    there's just something about it...

Mikey's "One, two, three four, ...One, two, three four" false start before the opening track, "Brain of J"....

    that did it for me..!

  • I like Yield for the fact that it contained my favorite song, Do The Evolution. No Way is fucking amazing. I have just come to like the spoken word tracks on the albums. Push Me, Pull Me is amazing.

Do any of you ladies or gentlemen consider Push Me, Pull Me "filler"?

  • Yield is my favorite PJ album. I never tire of listening to it. It just flows so well from start to finish. Its got such warm, uplifting song structures and the vocals are amazing.

No Code & Vitalogy aren't too far back though...

Yeild is a good all rounder and suits any mood, but my fave will ALWAYS be Ten :)
