I try and almost always do buy my stuff from the website and 10c but with the economy the way it is maybe I should go the cheap route. how can amazon sell the same merchandise for such a cheap price. I want all the money to go to the band so I buy here but the prices on amzon are so much cheaper. any input?

  • Buy it from Amazon. You've probably spent a crapload of money on this band like many of us, so do yourself a favor and buy it cheaper if you can. The only reason to buy from Ten club would be to score a signed copy, and the chances of that appear incredibly thin. So don't beat yourself up on this issue anymore and head to Amazon right away.

Duude the band has enough money. the economy sucks. Give yourself a break and buy it from amazon. you can also get it cheaper at bestbuy btw. I bought the legacy edition through 10c but then later realized i coulda gotten it way cheaper via bestbuy. I mean I definetly feel better buying from 10c and I always do but still if you don't have the cash get it from somewhere cheaper.

  • it's $134.21 through amazon, $140 through pj.com if you're buying in the US. it's not really that much of a difference, what are you going to do with the $5.79 left over?

Amazon has it listed for $124.99

I think that no matter what you are buying bigger stores such a Best Buy or in this case Amazon can offer better prices because they are that big and their costs are lower.... the 10C is a much smaller operation that say Amazon...

+ free shipping. so i guess its a better deal since its after March 1st and the chance for it being signed is gone.

very true thing about the march 1st deal, and yeah it's free shipping but i added it to my cart and went through the motions to see how much tax was and what not and it came out to $134.21, so its not $124.99, its $134.21. but yes, now that it's after march 1st might as well look to other places that might be cheaper, especially if you live outside the US

  • When I buy it on Amazon it's no tax and free shipping. Just a 124.99 flat rate. I live in Maryland, but since Amazon has no retail outlets anywhere, I didn't think they charged tax for anything...

I guess I'm wrong? You guys are really getting charged tax and shipping?

I think some states have laws that force them to charge tax. It's really lame since I live in NY and it happens to be one of those states :(

I live in Florida and amazon to ship here is a flat $124.99 I dont get charged shipping or tax.
I'm not sure about tax for other state but the item says that if you chose Super Saver shipping its free.

I buy all my stuff through the 10C but if someone is tight with money I think there are cheaper options, not THAT much cheaper but at least $15 cheaper...

  • I pre-ordered through 10c for flat fee of $140. I didn't know they would be for sale on amazon/bestbuy, so it never really occurred to me. I'm happy to buy directly from 10club (and figured I'd play the lotto for that signed edition), but honestly, think of how much money we've all spent on albums and shows and merchandise, and save yourself the $15 with amazon.

That IS lame, hahaha. I buy everything I can on Amazon for that reason. Although we are all technically legally obligated to pay tax on all our internet purchases anyway...not that anyone does, hahaha.

There's no sales tax in Oregon at all, so we never pay sales tax unless we travel out of state, and we can even go into Washington and during check-out at a retail store show them our Oregon ID and then we're sales tax exempt.

I know Washington residents have to pay sales tax at both Amazon and 10C because that's where 10C and Amazon are based (even without brick & mortar stores). Also I believe any state that Amazon has shipping warehouses also have to pay their state sales tax because Amazon operates in their state.
