Just 10 days..... left holy crap maybe this week some of us will start to getting them.
in the meantime me and BH71937 thought it would be cool for the last 10 days to ask 10 questions so lets start it off.

Where were you when you first heard PEARL JAMS MUSIC

I was in high school rockin out to my DEF LEPPARD. I have to be honest I really didn't like PJ at first but after a few listens I was hooked. It was very hard for me to part with DEF LEPPARD but i really never looked back and from that point on PJ totally dominated my life and even more today. Thank you PEARL JAM.

What about you?????

When I was in High School. ...about 10th grade in 1991 or so. At first I didn't like it (i think it was the "pretty" sound of the album) but once I heard their live stuff like their Alive video, that was it! Hooked.

In 11th and 12th grade one of the bands I played in covered a lot of their songs, including Porch, SOLAT, and some others. :)
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

i distinctly remember hearing alive on the local rock station here in the fall of 91 while we were
drinking beers in the parking lot after playing in our softball fall league game that night.
I promptly went and picked up the cd the next day.I wanna say mid september 1991.
Forever changed & altered my musical life.

I first heard Pearl Jam in early 1992...I was 14 1/2 and in the second half of my freshman year of high school. I was watching MTV (they used to actually play music videos then) and I saw the video for Jeremy and instantly got hooked! I then noticed that their songs were being played a lot on the rock radio stations...begged my parents to buy me "Ten"...I only had a cassette player at the time so my first copy of "Ten" was on cassette...and I still have it!! Then I begged my parents again for a CD player...got that and then finally got "Ten" on cd...It was the first CD that I ever owned...and still have that of course too!

They have been my favorite band since 1992...I've bought all their CDs immediately when they were released. They were a huge part of my teenage years and I love them even more now that I am in my 30's. :D

i WAS ONLY 10 WHEN TEN CAME OUT......GO FIGURE

stumbled upon it in my parents frenz's kids room(he was like 16)....started noticing video's like teen spirit, even flow, alive, jeremy, come as you are, soundgarden, temple of the dog,aic...etc. Loved the energy and melodic yet heavy music behind it....it caught my attention, bigtime

Started really getting into them when VS. came out a few years later....my dad bought me the cassette for my yellow sony walkman, hehe. Then a year later when Vitalogy dropped....I was in awe with the black album cover w/ the cool Yellow writing on the cover, and the artwork..... :o I was hooked
I played the shit out of it

I honestly can't remember when was the first time I heard Pearl Jam. I remember hearing Last Kiss a bunch of times in the car, but I'm not sure if that was back in 1998. I do remember back in 2002 my teacher showed us the video for Jeremy to show us the negative side of bullying.

    Cool thread.
Mine was in middle school. I was just getting into rock and Vitalogy was the record out at the time. I remember taping Nothingman and a few others off the radio (along with all my favorite radio songs). Then I bought Mirrorball the next year and loved it. In '96 when No Code was released I heard Smile on the radio, taped it and listened for a while, got the record for Christmas. The others followed after that.

As an 8 year old in 1994 probably hearing Jeremy first at home. My sister was into PJ and then from that point on I loved em.

I even recorded Alive to a tape to play at a class church service. My teacher got me in so much trouble.

It was August of '91 and I was visiting my brother who lives in Mukilteo, WA. I had the Mother Love Bone album and knew, from Rolling Stone, of a new band forming from their remnants. My brother had heard of a free show so we went down to the Mural Amphitheater and experienced their awesomeness. I was hooked.

met a boy, who is a huge pj fan, he was the one who really got me into their music...we dated for ten years...it all started: he gave me a burned copy of ten and i listen to it everyday, riding on the bart going/coming home from school...(all songs are great) but for some reason it was 'release' that did it for me...it was this song that opened my heart and eyes to the awesomeness of pearl jam.

First time was in Aug/92 at my causins house in Mexicali, MX(border city with California) I was 13 and heard Ten in cassette. My dad asked to that same cousin to buy me that tape next Dec(US version) and he mailed it to me to Guasave(my hometown in Sinaloa, MX). Alive definitely hooked me up!!!
