Basing this on nothing but boredom, I think that the new record is going to come at us a lot like "in rainbows" did. Not in the way that we will be paying whatever we want for it, but I think initially the only way to get it will be to download it from this site. I also think it's going to come at us quick like in rainbows did. If I remember correctly, Radiohead posted that their new album was done and that it would be available for download the next week. I'm guessing maybe that will happen towards the end of this summer. Your thoughts please.

i'm all for the digital release, but i still prefer going out to the local record shop and picking up a physical copy of what i'm after. PJ release day to me is not clicking a download button on a website, no offense.

I think that first you will see a download followed soon after by vinyl/cd

I can definitely see this happening. How awesome would it be to come to the board one day and find out a new album will be available in a week?!?

    That's what I am hoping for :)

But, as others have said, it would HAVE TO be followed by a hard copy version later on.

I can't see them not releasing a hardcopy on CD and vinyl, even with a digital download.

Oh yeah, for sure there would be a hard copy a little later. Jeff and Eddie love that stuff too much to skip the hard copy. And of course I would want a hard copy as well.

That would just be incredible. Usually you have a 3-4 month wait for an album release. For the new album to pop up in a week like that would be great.

I couldn't care less if they decide to put the album avalaible for download before the actual CD/Vinyl release..
I prefer to wait a little more, but the first listening to a new PJ album has to be done through a good pair of headphones, holding the CD/Vinyl package in your hands, and looking inside the booklet while listening.. It's a sort of religious thing, I think..
    Fuck the lame download :D

I'll wait to pick up a copy at my music store, I won't even bother downloading it.
Downloading just isn't the same feeling as going into a store and buying it then holding it, opening it, reading the book inside, putting the cd in your player and being hit for the first time!
