I like twitter. I've been on since last year. Its like blogging lite. I can't be bothered with facebook or myspace, but I can come up with 140 characters every so often, and if you pick who you follow carefully, its a nice addition to life. Pearl Jam has a twitter, you know.

All this week the comic strip Doonesbury (yeah, I'm an old hippie, I still read it) has been making fun of Twitter. Today's panel pretty much summed it up:
I don't see what the difference is in Twitter and the whole 'status' thing on Myspace and Facebook.
Andrew is grazing on Cheesy Poofs and secretly wondering if his coffee maker is making plans to secede from his household appliances one day when he is off at work.
Make your life a mission - not an intermission. - Arnold Gasglow
i resisted twitter for the longest time (as i do most technologies lol), didn't get the point of it at all. but apparently it is a good marketing tool so i broke down and gave in. even made a blog too (http://b-drawn.blogspot.com) ....i'm cruising into the 21st century at the speed of sound, yep
It's only a waste of time if you constantly use it as a status update machine. It's really fun and informative if you follow the right people - comedians you like, celebrities you want to keep up with, news sites you follow, that kind of thing. Plus, when you have a good one liner and there's no one around, you can immortalise it on twitter.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
It will be popular until the next thing; remember when myspace was the thing?
