New Acoustic (Left Handed)

I started playing guitar last July or so when I picked up a Fender 100 - LH. As a lefty it seemed like a good choice at the time. I really really like the guitar but have been thinking of picking up something better. My main issues with the Fender is the amount of action, its got quite a bit which makes learning barre chords pretty rough. I'd like to get something a bit better with a bit less action on it. I'm interested in moving up and getting a guitar somewhere in the $500-$1000 range and not sure where to start. Any advice?
