I'm afraid of things with swirling blades like garbage disposals, lawn mowers (although I use one), snow- throwers, cuisinarts...

I think I imagine losing hands or feet to the blades!! :?

  • Truthfully, I really don't, but I enjoy making people think I am deathly afraid of spiders and heights. The spider one is sort of true though, because it does concern me that those little bastards could be crawling all over me in my sleep and I would never know it
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

It's typical, but spiders...more so tarantula's though...I can't even make myself go down the aisle in the pet store...even pictures weird me the hell out.

Also, tight, confined spaces, so I guess claustrophobia (not sure of the spelling). I've even gotten stressed out while lying in bed with my girlfriend and dog, because with her and I so close, and then he comes and lays right up next to me, and he weighs a little over 40 lbs...if my arms aren't OUT from under the covers I don't last longer than 5 seconds...

Rats and mice. When I was in high school I would have dreams about them attacking me and hundreds of them biting my neck. I had to read 1984 when I was a senior and I couldn't stand to read the chapter about the rats. It terrified me

yeah, I just finished that book. I had to read it as a senior, but didn't care to pay attention to it while reading in class...I just pulled my normal droned out bull-shit...but I decided to read it now that I care to read...and that chapter, especially with the rats, was so descriptive that it would've terrified me if I was afraid of them too.

  • I'm starting to get one of planes. Not flying though, flying doesn't bother me...

It's not so much a phobia though really as it is anxiety...I'm 6'9" and an occasional plane trip was okay and I can deal with it...but lately I've been flying just about weekly for work and I'm sick of it and explained it to them and they don't seem to care, but I get a claustophobic anxiety feeling being crammed into planes and it's getting worse and worse. Planes weren't built for people of my size, especially getting stuck with middles seats half the time because they're booking my flights about 2 days before the actual flight.

Snakes and, even though I'm as tall as Evil Merlin, heights.

Anginophobia [thanks google!] The fear of choking....more so watching other people choke. My step dad choked on some food when I was younger a few times and it was just awful.

And occasionally heights, although i've been getting better.

Seriously! You've got more reason to be afraid of heights than the shorties...because when we're up as high as them..we've got that extra foot on the average person and everything seems just that much higher!

You have Coulrophobia, which was probably triggered by watching Poltergeist when you were a kid. :)
I know after that movie, clowns always sort of freaked me out.

My biggest phobia is definitely heights. Oddly enough, I fly almost weekly but I'm fine... I think it's all in the perspective.

I have a bit of a social phobia. I am fine at most places, but if I were to be at a dance club with too many lights, sounds and people moving in a million directions, I'd get disoriented, and have panic attacks.
  • I'm claustrophobic....which actually makes doing regular things pretty difficult....i.e. no elevators, no backseats of two door cars, no airplanes, etc....

Same here. Nothing goes near my eyes.

I'm also afraid of heights, reptiles, amphibians, any moving creature twice my size, dark alleys, being inside a fast vehicle, guns, automatic slicers and cutters, wild animal howlings, and some other stuff too.

With that said, I do try to do everything once in my life. I've only gone camping once in my life and it was terrifying at night, and also got seasick while on a whale watch trip.

I am the same when it comes to Mayo, sour cream, horseradish sauce, tarter sauce. Any sort of white creamy sauce (please, no gross comments..they won't be that orginal!)

I am a bit claustrophobic, its gotten worse for me over the years. I would say getting stuck in a really tight place(like a small club) with one exit and I am shoved in the back. I wouldn't handle that well.

Oh and flying, I hate it but I wouldn't call it a phobia. I have never had a good flight, last time I was on a plane coming back from FL the plane went sideways in the air and dropped at least 300 feet(thats what it seemed like). So, now I am claustrophobic, stuck in a small tube with people screaming, good times for me.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?
