How do I take songs off the I-pod?
What exactly do I do?

    I think the only way to do it is to buy a third party piece of software. There are several available. Here's one.

    If you have an older iPod, you might be able to do this:

    delete the songs (that you want off your ipod) out of your itunes
    connect the ipod and sync
    GO GIANTS
    GO DEVILS

    when you connect your ipod to your itunes, just go into the music library that is on your ipod (not computer), select the songs you want to delete and press the delete key.

    I just uncheck the songs on itunes and then when I sync my ipod only the "checked" songs are put on and those that were on my ipod and now are unchecked are off. When you connect your ipod, just check the box that says "sync only checked songs".
